Kevin Lawlor

CEO

Mr. Lawlor has nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare finance and administration, most recently serving as President & CEO of Huntington Hospital for the past 10 years. Mr. Lawlor has extensive experience in performance improvement, physician relations, network development and managed care contracting. He is the past chairman of the Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council and the New York Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association

 

Ruth Ragusa

VP, Quality and Care Management

As Vice President for Quality and Care Management, Ms. Ragusa, in concert with the Chief Medical Officer, is responsible for developing the strategies and best practices that enhance and maintain the quality of care and services provided by New York Medical Partners. She oversees performance improvement, regulatory affairs, patient satisfaction and patient safety. Ms. Ragusa is also responsible to ensure an focus on care management and transition of care.

 

Joanne Newcombe, RN

VP, Community Health Development

Ms. Newcombe is responsible for developing and leading the clinical and administrative operations of programs related to community health, including family medicine, behavioral health, home health care, community education and transitional care. She is a recipient of numerous honors in the field of nursing, including the Nursing Center of Excellence. Additionally Joanne Newcombe has authored and co-authored clinical papers on advancements and best practices in nursing, which have been published in Nursing Spectrum and Advance for Nursing.

 

Ann Amato

Compliance Officer

Ms. Amato is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University and Master of Business Administration from Molloy College. She received both her Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA). Ms. Amato received her CPC (Certified Professional Coder) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and is on the Board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Metro NY Chapter where she chairs the Compliance and Internal Audit Committee. In addition, Ms. Amato was recently appointed as the Chair of the Compliance Committee for the Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council.

 

Richard Rosenhagen

VP, HIM, EMR

Mr. Rosenhagen is responsible for the oversight of the New York Medical Partners's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation. His many years of experience in the HIM profession as a Registered Health Information Administrator bring an awareness of the importance of quality clinical documentation. Having an enterprise-wide ability to collect and manage clinical documentation specific to a patient's treatment will allow the IPA to judiciously use computers to document the quality and outcomes of the care provided

 

Alex Balko

VP, Finance

As VP of Finance, Mr. Balko is responsible for the coordination, supervision and direction of all day-to-day financial operations within New York Medical Partners. He also assists in the planning and management of NYMP business plans. Mr. Balko is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Health Care Financial Management Association and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

Michael Friedman

VP, Physician Services

As the VP of Physician Services, Mr. Friedman is responsible for maintaining & growing physician relationships as well as  physician marketing. Prior to his work with New York Medical Partners he spent 15 years negotiation physician reimbursement contracts for major insurance companies.

 

Nancy Adler

Registered Nurse

Ms. Adler is a Registered Nurse for over 20 years with experience in Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care, Long Term Care and Sub-acute Rehabilitation, as well as, being a Nurse Manager and Nurse Educator. She is a Certified Heart Failure Nurse through the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) and currently the Community Care Coordinator for NYMP. Her responsibilities include the management and coordination of care, using evidence based guidelines and patient-centered care plans, for the geriatric population with multiple co-morbidities as they transition throughout the healthcare system and community.
